Subtitles drift out of sync as the video plays?
Captions cut from a different master are rarely perfectly aligned. Two cases cover most problems: a constant offset (everything is N milliseconds late — fix with the shift field) and drift (sync is right at the start but wrong at the end — fix with a two-point resync, giving the “now” and “should be” times at two reference points).
