SSA (SubStation Alpha v4) is the original format from which Advanced SubStation Alpha (ASS) was derived. Older players, legacy authoring tools and some fansub workflows still expect a .ssa file. This converter produces a minimal, playable .ssa v4.00 script — timing is preserved, inline <i>/<b>/<u> tags map to SSA override tags, and the whole conversion runs 100% client-side so your file never leaves your device.
